This beautiful block is pieced using templates and sewn together with curved seams. It is very striking as a feature block, on its own, to use on a bag, cushion or wall hanging. Making a number of blocks into a whole quilt would be stunning.
The centre circle of the block is appliqued after the rest of the vortex has been pieced. The pattern has lots of photos to help you with the techniques used.

The samples shown are all using my 'In Bloom fabric, available in my shop. The pink used in the bag shown is one of the 'peppered cottons' also available in my shop
